Leading to B.SC (Hons) in Information Technology (BCS) Qualification
About British Computer Society: BCS Professional Examinations were established in 1969 and are essential qualifications for a career in computing and IT. The examinations have been developed in consultation with employers to meet the demands and evolving needs of the IT community. They are constantly updated to acknowledge both practical and academic experience. BCS Professional Examinations cover three levels, which are then sub-categorized into a wide-range of IT subjects.

Certificate in Information Technology |
No formal entry restrictions. It is recommended that candidates are aged at least 19 and have education to A-level standard, or equivalent, before they attempt the examinations. As these are professional examinations, it is expected that candidates will be aspiring towards a career in IT or already working in this field

Diploma in Information Technology |
Either BCS Certificate in IT
Or ABE Dip BIS pt 1&2
Or BTEC HNC in Computing
And For people whose first language is not English, the required standard on the course is as follows:
IELTS 5.5
TOEFL 550 or an equivalent qualification. |

Professional Graduate Diploma in Information Technology |
Either BCS Diploma in IT
Or ABE Adv Dip BIS
Or IMIS Higher Diploma (excluding core module)
Or NCC IADCS (some modules) And For people whose first language is not English, the required standard on the course is as follows:
IELTS 5.5
TOEFL 550 or an equivalent qualification.
