About OTHM
The Programme explores the dynamic and complex relationship between tourism and hospitality industries and their supporting management industries that shape the innovation process in an International context. The tourism and Hospitality programme offers an extensive choice of units covering these vibrant, dynamic sectors of the world economies. Student will gain a sound understanding and knowledge of the tourism and hospitality management, on a wide range of issues affecting sustainable communities including information technology and customer relations skills

NB If concurrent English language tuition is offered it is recommended that students have IELTS 5.0 at the beginning of the course and IELTS 6.0 by the completion of the course. |

The OTHM Post Graduate Diploma (Level 7) prepares students for management within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. Continued growth has brought about an increasing need for flexible and skilled managers able to operate at all levels. It is currently being upgraded from the original 4 unit, 15 credit per unit qualification to 5 unit, 20 credits per unit qualification commencing January 2011.

Option 1: The OTHM Level 6 Professional Diploma (NQF or QCF)
Option 2: An honours degree in tourism and Hospitality Management from UK or overseas university.
Or An NQF or QCF Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from an Ofqual-approved UK awarding body.
Or A Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from an overseas awarding organization.
Plus: IELTS 6.0 or other evidence of competence in English at this level.
Option 3: An honours
Or: An NQF or QCF Level 6 Diploma in a business-related subject from an Ofqual- approved UK awarding Organisation.
Or A Level 6 Diploma in a business –related subject from an overseas awarding organization
Plus: Proof of one year’s management-level work experience within the travel, tourism and hospitality industry
Plus: IELTS 6.0 or other evidence of competence in English at this level
Option4:
Proof of five year’s management-level work experience within the travel, tourism and hospitality industry
Plus: IELTS 6.0 or other evidence of competence in English at this level.

Option 1: Upon passing the original, pre-2011 four unit qualification, students may continue studies at the University of Hertfordshire in Semester B, to gain an MSc. In international Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Option 2: Upon passing the new, 5 units qualification, student may continue studies at London South Bank University (Research Methodology +dissertation) to gain an MSc.
Option 3: Students may wish to return to industry with the OTHM Post Graduate Diploma, Seeking management opportunities or career progression with their employer
